The Dr. of History
I’m Dean Allen and I have a passion for people and history. As an author, lecturer and historian, I believe that by learning from the past we can obtain a greater appreciation and understanding of the present, as well as the future. Indeed, the great Rudyard Kipling once said that we would all remember our history if it was told in the form of stories!
I love telling stories from history and learning from the past and I want to share that passion and experience with you here on this course you have signed up for. I promise you it will be both thought-provoking and entertaining! We will be examining stories and processes from history that have shaped our lives today. There can be nothing more important than to have a curious and critical mind and to always be open to learning.
